Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Receep (“the Service”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Receep is a receipt and invoice management tool that connects to your email accounts, identifies emails matching rules you define, and saves the resulting documents to cloud storage of your choice (Dropbox, Google Drive, or other supported providers). The Service may also extract structured expense data from those documents.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Receep. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at ihaffke@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may not share your account with others or use the Service to process documents on behalf of third parties without their knowledge and consent.

5. Connected Accounts and Permissions

To use the Service you must grant Receep permission to access certain third-party accounts (e.g. Gmail, Google Drive, Dropbox). By granting such permissions you confirm that you are authorised to do so. You may revoke these permissions at any time from within the Service or directly through the relevant third-party provider.

Receep will only use the permissions you grant for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • violate any applicable law or regulation;
  • infringe the intellectual property rights of others;
  • process or store unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent content;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it;
  • use automated means to access the Service in a way that imposes unreasonable load.

7. Data and Privacy

Our collection and use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service you consent to our data practices as described therein.

8. Intellectual Property

The Receep name, logo, software, and all associated content are the property of Receep and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use Receep's trademarks, logos, or other proprietary materials.

You retain ownership of all documents and data that you process through the Service.

9. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend or modify the Service at any time for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned outages where practicable.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECEEP DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

In particular, Receep makes no warranty that the Service will correctly identify, capture, or file every receipt or invoice in your email accounts.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECEEP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO RECEEP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Receep and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where practicable.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Terms at https://receep.com/termsand updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in California.
